A suspect has been apprehended in connection with a deadly shooting in Mount Vernon, Cascadia Daily News reports.

The gunfire erupted on June 11 on South 2nd Street. A 23-year-old male died at the location.

Detectives developed leads and secured an arrest warrant. The suspect, aged 26, was booked into custody on June 16.

Court filings were sealed to protect the ongoing inquiry. Arraignment is set for June 25.
