A female police officer allegedly shot and wounded a 22-year-old woman during an incident reported Friday afternoon in the La Fe community in Naguabo, according to preliminary reports.

Initial information indicates the two women had reportedly been involved in an argument prior to the shooting. Following the gunshot, the victim required air ambulance transport to the Medical Center. Authorities stated her condition is stable.

The Special Investigations Bureau (NIE) is participating in the investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
