Hollywood actor Shia LaBeouf has admitted guilt to three counts of simple battery stemming from a physical altercation outside a New Orleans bar earlier this year.

The 39-year-old performer, known for his roles in the "Transformers" film franchise, entered the plea in court this week. His legal representative stated that LaBeouf chose to accept responsibility for his conduct.

Under the terms of his sentence, LaBeouf received a two-year probationary period. Court-ordered conditions require him to complete anger management courses, sensitivity training, and substance abuse rehabilitation for alcohol misuse.

The incident occurred on February 17 in New Orleans, where authorities accused LaBeouf of striking two men outside a drinking establishment during Mardi Gras festivities. Officers detained him at the scene but released him shortly afterward. He later posted bail set at $100,000.

An additional charge was filed subsequently, and a judge had previously ordered the actor to undergo detoxification treatment and submit to weekly drug screening.

One of the men involved alleged that LaBeouf directed homophobic slurs at him during the confrontation. However, the actor's attorney emphasized in a statement that investigators confirmed LaBeouf's initial account that the incident was merely a bar fight during Mardi Gras celebrations. She asserted there was "no evidence" that the dispute "was based on prejudice or discrimination."

LaBeouf is now expected to focus on his family, professional work, and upcoming creative projects.
