Police in Palm Bay, Florida detained a 41-year-old former schoolteacher during the night of June 23 after residents reported suspicious activity inside a parked red vehicle on a local street.

Officers who responded to the call discovered Michelle Lynn Hancock together with a 17-year-old boy inside the automobile. The pair admitted to officers that they had engaged in sexual activity, according to Klaipėda Diena.

Investigators determined that Hancock had previously worked at the same school the youth attended. In May, the two resumed contact and began exchanging messages. The woman then started inviting the student to her car for sexual encounters at the same location where she was ultimately apprehended.

Hancock now faces multiple charges, including solicitation of a minor, statutory rape of a ward, and using electronic communications to lure a juvenile into sexual conduct.
