Two Georgetown residents arrested on felony drug charges after police search

Georgetown drug bust nets two arrests after narcotics investigation

Delaware State Police have charged two Georgetown residents with felony drug offenses following a search warrant executed last week at a property on the 200 block of East North Street, dsp.delaware.gov reported on Tuesday.

Jahlier Pettyjohn, 24, and Gabriella Tambourelli, 35, both of Georgetown, were taken into custody on March 20, 2026, after members of the Sussex County Drug Unit, the Sussex County Governor's Task Force, the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team, and the Georgetown Police Department jointly executed the warrant.

The search warrant was obtained as part of an investigation into Pettyjohn for the alleged distribution of illegal narcotics from the residence. As officers moved in, Pettyjohn was observed attempting to flee through a window but was quickly apprehended. Tambourelli was detained inside the residence without incident. A child was also present at the property at the time of the operation.

Detectives searched Pettyjohn, Tambourelli, the residence, and the surrounding property, recovering multiple items related to the drug investigation.

Pettyjohn was transported to Troop 4, charged with felony drug offenses, and arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court 2. He was subsequently committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $34,000 secured bond.

Tambourelli was also taken to Troop 4 and arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court 2. She was released on a $17,000 unsecured bond following her arraignment.

Both individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
