A man aged 26 from Staunton, Virginia, has been locked up following an incident in which projectiles struck two automobiles with people inside and a premises, causing slight harm to one occupant, according to WHSV.

Officers were sent to Springhill Road on 10 June 2026 following reports of discharged firearms. The accused, identified as Christopher S. Shifflett, had already departed when patrols reached the location. An examination showed that a pair of passenger vehicles with drivers or riders present, plus a built structure, had been penetrated by shots. One individual within the structure experienced a minor wound.

Shifflett was taken into custody on Saturday. Prosecutors have filed several felony accusations against him, including inflicting bodily harm with intent, attempting to do so in an aggravated manner, firing into a inhabited residence, twin counts of firing into automobiles carrying people, and employing a gun during the commission of a serious offence.
