South Florida authorities have arrested 21-year-old Zyaire Dontaevious Zamarion Wilkins on federal charges tied to a malware scheme that siphoned roughly $220,000 in cryptocurrency from gamers through infected Steam titles, according to theGeek.

Investigators say Wilkins bought malware and helped distribute eight malicious video games on the Steam platform between May 2024 and February 2026. The infected titles — including games matching names cited by the FBI in a March alert — compromised about eight thousand user devices and gave attackers unauthorized access to approximately eighty crypto wallets.

The group allegedly used automated bots to identify victims with sizable digital-asset holdings, then reached out via Discord, Telegram, X, and LinkedIn to persuade them to download the games. Once installed, the software stole personal information and login credentials, enabling the thieves to drain the victims’ crypto accounts.

Court filings reference an additional, as-yet-unidentified lead developer. Prosecutors also linked Wilkins to a crypto wallet under the name Sibel.eth and accused him of purchasing a remote-access trojan for $10,000. If convicted, he faces up to ten years in prison.
