Officers were alerted at 5:05 a.m. on May 31st after the victim presented herself at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to her abdomen and arm. She was treated at the venue known as So Blu'Niq, located on Wolcott Street. As of the latest update, she remains hospitalised in stable condition.

Police proceeded to the nightclub, where multiple agencies had already secured a crime scene. An investigation determined that an isolated disturbance inside the premises had escalated, resulting in a firearm being discharged and the victim being struck by a projectile.

Evidence gathered during the investigation also revealed that liquor and alcoholic beverages were being sold at the time of the incident without a valid permit or licence, according to the police department.

Arrest warrants were subsequently obtained for Maria Daley, 50, and Maurice Young, 29, both of Waterbury.
