A burst of gunfire on Tuesday afternoon in Great House, Lowman's Leeward, claimed one life and sent two others to hospital with bullet wounds.

The violence erupted around 4:00 p.m. on June 23, 2026. According to people living nearby, the quiet neighbourhood was suddenly shattered by shots. When the chaos ended, one man lay lifeless inside an abandoned building while two companions had fled, both struck by bullets.

One of the survivors reportedly leaped over an embankment with a drop exceeding 40 feet to escape the barrage. The other, covered in blood, crashed through a stranger's window to find safety. A resident later had to clean blood from the room and from garments that were inside at the time.

Law enforcement sources identified the deceased as a citizen of St. Lucia who had reportedly entered SVG by speedboat.

Neighbours voiced deep frustration, saying criminal elements in the area appear more focused on sowing disorder than living peacefully.
