A man fatally shot in the Great House community in Lowmans Leeward, St Vincent and the Grenadines, has been identified as a Saint Lucian national going by the alias "Luche," wicnews.com reports. Authorities are working with police in St Lucia to formally confirm his identity.

According to the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, the shooting occurred shortly after 6:00 pm on Tuesday, 23 June. Officers arrived at the scene approximately ten minutes after receiving reports of the incident.

Two men with gunshot wounds were found at the scene and transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. A third victim, shot in the face, later died from his injuries.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Atland Browne, head of the Criminal Investigation Division, said investigators have yet to establish the deceased's full legal name. "We will be working closely with our counterparts in St Lucia and more than likely will ascertain his correct name, age, date of birth and address," Browne said.

Forensic tests and other investigative procedures are under way as authorities seek to determine what led to the shooting. Browne described progress as steady. "Investigations are progressing relatively smoothly, and hopefully in the near future we will have something positive to report to the public," he said.

No motive has been made public, and no suspects have been named. Police said all leads are being followed with support from regional law enforcement partners.

The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force has called on anyone with information relevant to the case to contact the Criminal Investigation Division.
