Man arrested for armed robbery and shooting at Coki Point, St. Thomas
A 33-year-old man was arrested after snatching a gold chain and exchanging gunfire with the victim in a Coki Point car park. Bail was set at $75,000.

vipd.vi.gov reports that on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Virgin Islands Police Department responded to a shots-fired call in the Coki Point area of St. Thomas.
Surveillance footage showed two men talking in a car park when one of them, identified as Albert Lindo III, 33, grabbed a gold chain from the other man's neck and pocketed it. The victim walked away, but Lindo followed him. The victim then drew a firearm and fired multiple shots at Lindo. Lindo in turn drew a weapon from his waistband and returned fire before the victim fled the scene.
Lindo was placed under arrest on charges of Robbery, Possession of a Firearm, and Reckless Endangerment. His bail was set at $75,000.
The VIPD's Criminal Investigation Bureau is asking the public for any additional information related to the incident.
