Sharjah Police detained a suspect and recovered a stolen vehicle within two hours of receiving the theft report, returning the car to its owner.
According to the authority, the owner reported the vehicle missing on the evening of 24 September, prompting specialised teams to launch an immediate search and investigation. The suspect was subsequently taken to a police station to complete the required legal steps.
The force noted that the car had been left unattended with its engine running when it was taken, cautioning motorists that doing so makes vehicles easy targets for thieves.
Drivers are urged to turn off their engines, lock their doors, and not leave valuable items inside, even during brief stops at shops, petrol stations, or cash machines.
