A young man from Stavanger, charged in a court case in London, has admitted that he provided false information in a written submission to the court. This became clear when he completed his testimony in the witness box on Friday.
According to Aftenposten, the defendant became visibly irritated during questions from the prosecution. He is suspected of planning to take the life of a person he did not know, on assignment from a criminal network in Sweden.
The criminal network in question, Foxtrot, is controlled by Rawa Majid, often referred to as "The Kurdish Fox". The organisation has been linked to a series of violent incidents in Sweden, and there is also suspicion of their involvement in serious crimes in Norway and other European states.
The young man from Rogaland denies that he is guilty of the charges brought against him. The trial continues in the British capital.
