DIICOT prosecutors have detained four members of the Duduianu clan, suspected of recruiting and sexually exploiting four young women in Germany and the Netherlands.

An operation by organised crime prosecutors concluded on Tuesday with the detention of three persons suspected of human trafficking and pimping. Among the suspects are two of the Duduianu brothers, known by the pseudonyms "Grațian Pian" and "Ali Pian", along with two other accomplices.
Investigators claim that, over a period of approximately a year and a half, starting from 2024 until the summer of 2025, the group recruited four young women whom they forced into prostitution. The offences allegedly took place in rented premises in Germany and in the Netherlands.
According to the indictment, the victims were lured with false promises and coercive methods. On occasion, the suspects allegedly resorted to physical assault to force the young women to engage in sexual commerce, and the money obtained went into the pockets of group members.
On 9 June 2026, the central structure of DIICOT decided to deprive three of the four accused persons of their liberty. The court at Bucharest Tribunal will subsequently be notified with a proposal for preventive arrest.
The investigation was conducted with the assistance of officers specialising in combating violent criminal groups within the Capital Police.
