A 39-year-old man was shot dead on the verandah of a residence in Swetes Village late Friday, according to antigua.news, with police now hunting an unidentified suspect seen fleeing the scene in a grey hoodie.
Officers from the All Saints Police Station arrived at St Ann's Road at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Friday, September 11, following reports of several explosions believed to be gunshots. They found Kerew Richards lying motionless on the verandah, with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds across his body.
A medical doctor pronounced Richards dead shortly after midnight on Saturday, September 12.
Police said the suspect — described only as an unidentified individual wearing a grey hoodie — was reportedly seen running eastward from the area shortly after the shooting. No arrest has been made.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who was in the surrounding area and may have witnessed suspicious activity or heard anything relevant to come forward.
