South-West Finland Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred on Tuesday evening in Uusikaupunki, in which a taxi driver was threatened with a blade and money was taken from him. Turun Sanomat reports that the act took place around 7 p.m. on the border of Uusikaupunki and Laitila.
The perpetrator had ordered a taxi and threatened the driver with a blade during the journey. Following the threat, the perpetrator took money from the taxi driver and left the scene.
Police are requesting information about the incident. Authorities are particularly seeking leads about the perpetrator's movements and any possible observations in the area on Tuesday evening.
