Police have detained eleven individuals in the Val-de-Marne department, suspected of participating in a gang rape of a child under 15 years old. The incidents date back to the turn of 2023-2024.

Eleven individuals were placed in custody on Tuesday in the Val-de-Marne department, in the Paris region. They are suspected of having taken part in a gang rape of a minor, as well as filming and distributing pornographic material involving children.
The Créteil public prosecutor's office, which is directing the investigation, has confirmed the arrests without revealing the exact age of the victim or the suspects. According to the newspaper Le Parisien, the people arrested were born between 2006 and 2009.
The news agency AFP, citing police sources, indicates that the victim was under 15 years old. Investigators have established that the child was regularly raped, whilst the attackers recorded their crimes and shared the videos on the internet.
The arrests took place on Tuesday morning in the municipalities of Créteil and Bonneuil-sur-Marne, located south-east of the capital. All eleven suspects have been remanded in custody. The prosecutor's office has not released details on the progress of the investigation, except that the incidents concern the period at the turn of 2023 and 2024.
