Two women stole 35,000 lei from a 77-year-old man's home in Ciucea and assaulted him
Two women from Bihor, aged 38 and 42, have been placed in preventive arrest after robbing a 77-year-old pensioner in Ciucea commune, Cluj County.

Two women from Bihor County, aged 38 and 42, have been detained and subsequently placed in preventive arrest for 30 days, after entering a house in Ciucea commune, Cluj County, and taking the sum of 35,000 lei, according to ProTV News.
According to investigators, the two had distinct roles in executing the plan. The 38-year-old woman is believed to have kept watch of the area from outside, providing lookout, whilst her accomplice, 42 years old, actually entered the house and took the money.
The plan was nearly completed when, as they were leaving the courtyard of the house, the two encountered the homeowner, a 77-year-old man. He immediately realised something was amiss and attempted to stop them. The women reacted by striking the man, thereby managing to flee with the stolen sum.
The homeowner called 112. Police identified and detained them shortly after the report was filed. The two are being investigated for aggravated theft and, respectively, complicity in aggravated theft.
