Gardaí arrest four men in €2m drug and cash seizure operation

Four men have been arrested after gardaí seized cocaine, diamorphine and cash worth over €2 million. Two have been charged with drug trafficking and money laundering.

Four arrested as €2m drugs haul uncovered in nationwide garda operation

Four men have been arrested after gardaí seized drugs with an estimated street value of over €2 million, rte.ie reports.

The men, aged in their 20s, 40s, and 60s, were detained following a series of searches during which vehicles were also seized.

The haul included cocaine valued at approximately €1.6 million and diamorphine worth an estimated €529,000, along with a small quantity of psilocin — commonly known as magic mushrooms. A further €34,300 in cash was recovered during the searches.

The operation was carried out by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, working in collaboration with regional garda units.

Two of the men have since been charged with drug trafficking and money laundering offences. Both appeared before Kilkenny District Court and the Criminal Courts of Justice District Court. The two remaining men were being held in detention at garda stations in Dublin.
