A 41-year-old man, arrested in Liverpool, faces murder charges over the 2020 fatal shooting of Robbie Lawlor in Ardoyne, North Belfast.

Ca.news.yahoo.com reports that a 41-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Robbie Lawlor, who was shot dead in north Belfast in April 2020.

Lawlor, 36, originally from Dublin, was struck by multiple gunshots outside a house on Etna Drive in Ardoyne. He was believed to have been involved in organised crime in the Republic of Ireland.

The suspect was arrested in Liverpool on Wednesday. In addition to the murder charge, he faces a charge of possession of a firearm or ammunition with intent to endanger life or cause serious damage to property.

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Lawlor had previously been named as a suspect in the abduction and murder of Drogheda teenager Keane Mulready-Woods.
