Teenage boy stabbed to death in Northampton park, murder probe launched

A murder investigation is under way after a teenage boy was fatally stabbed at Dallington Park in Northampton on Tuesday evening. Police have sealed off a large section of the park.

A murder investigation has been launched after a teenage boy was stabbed to death at a park in Northampton, northamptonchron.co.uk reports.

Duston residents told the Chron they heard multiple emergency services racing to the park — situated just off Harlestone Road and Dallington Park Road — at around 7.30pm on Tuesday, 7 July. Officers have remained at the scene throughout the night.

A large section of the park has been sealed off, with the cordon encompassing the children's play area, changing rooms, the first football pitch and the bottom path along Harlestone Road. The Chron's journalists arrived at the scene at around 11.30pm and found multiple scene guards still in position.

Separately, police also sealed off Adnitt Road elsewhere in the town. Earlier the same day, St Andrew's Road had been cordoned off after a suspicious device was discovered at an address there.

Northamptonshire Police had been contacted for comment at the time of publication.
