One-year-old girl dies in Atherstone; two suspects bailed after child neglect arrest
A 19-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man have been released on bail following the death of a one-year-old girl in Atherstone, Warwickshire.

A one-year-old girl was pronounced dead at a home on Long Street, Atherstone, on Friday morning, BBC News reports. Emergency services were called at approximately 11:50 BST to reports of a child in cardiac arrest and declared her dead at the scene shortly after arrival.
A 19-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were arrested at the property on suspicion of child neglect. Warwickshire Police later further arrested both on suspicion of causing or allowing the death of a child.
The pair have since been released on bail under strict conditions, the force confirmed.
Detective Chief Inspector Martyn Kendall said: "This tragic death has understandably caused a great deal of shock and concern in the local community. The two suspects arrested have now been bailed with strict conditions."
Officers are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination, which is expected to shed more light on the circumstances leading up to the girl's death. Police have urged anyone with information to contact the force.
