Man left critical after serious assault in Ashford town centre

A man in his 30s is in a critical condition in hospital after suffering serious head injuries in Ashford's Lower High Street at 5.12am on 13 September.

Kent Police have taped off sections of Middle Row and Lower High Street in Ashford after a man was left in a critical condition following a serious assault, kentonline.co.uk reports.

The incident occurred at 5.12am on 13 September in Lower High Street, close to a water fountain and the St Johns Lane alleyway. The man, believed to be in his 30s, suffered serious head injuries and was subsequently transported to a London hospital.

Officers were seen guarding the cordoned area adjacent to Gould Harrison Estate Agents while the investigation continued into the afternoon.
