Two men charged with stabbing and assault on Dartford High Street

Two men face charges after a man in his 40s was stabbed on Dartford High Street on 11 September. A knife and extendable baton were recovered at the scene.

According to thisislocallondon.co.uk, two men have been charged following a serious assault on Dartford High Street at around 8.30pm on Friday, 11 September, after an altercation involving several people.

Patrols and paramedics attended the scene, where a man in his 40s was treated for injuries consistent with stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital and has since been discharged.

James Dunnett, 33, of Dartford High Street, was charged with wounding with intent and possession of a bladed weapon in a public place. Philip Donkin, 49, of Wright Close, Swanscombe, was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Both men appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on Monday, 14 September, and were remanded in custody pending their next hearing. A 37-year-old woman who had been arrested was subsequently released without charge.

Officers recovered a knife and an extendable baton during the investigation. Those involved are understood to be known to one another.
