North Carolina Governor Josh Stein has offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to arrests in a 2020 Juneteenth mass shooting that killed four people in Charlotte.

North Carolina Governor Josh Stein has issued a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in a mass shooting that killed four people in Charlotte, wbtv.com reports.

The shooting took place on June 22, 2020, during a Juneteenth celebration along Beatties Ford Road near Catherine Simmons Avenue. Investigators say multiple gunmen fired more than 150 rounds into a crowd of hundreds. Three of the four victims died from gunshot wounds; a fourth was struck and killed by a fleeing vehicle.

More than six years on, no arrests have been made.

"We must use every tool at our disposal to pursue justice for victims," Stein said in announcing the reward. "I urge North Carolinians who have information about this case to contact local law enforcement and help us hold the murderers accountable."

The governor's offer is not the first reward tied to the case. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and the FBI have previously each offered separate rewards, amounting to tens of thousands of dollars combined — none of which produced an arrest.
