Police Seek Wilmington Suspect After Strong-Arm Robbery at New Castle Bus Stop

Delaware State Police, as reported by dsp.delaware.gov, are asking the public to help locate Jarvis Sturgis, a Wilmington resident wanted in connection with a strong-arm robbery that took place on the evening of 15 September 2026 in New Castle.

At approximately 9:20 p.m., troopers responded to the 3000 block of New Castle Avenue, where a victim had been waiting at a bus stop. A male suspect approached the victim, demanded personal property, struck the victim, and fled the area with the stolen items.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit assumed control of the case. Through follow-up investigative work, detectives identified Sturgis as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Upon apprehension, he is to be charged with robbery second degree, a felony offence.
