Man arrested in Concordia accused of abusing 7-year-old girl in Federación
A 36-year-old man was arrested in Concordia with an arrest warrant for aggravated sexual abuse of a minor. The suspect allegedly fled to that city following the incident that occurred in Federación.
Man detained in Concordia wanted for sexual abuse of 7-year-old girl
Staff from the seventh police station in Concordia detained a 36-year-old man from Federación on Saturday, against whom an arrest warrant had been issued by the Court of Guarantees in that city, according to a report by diarioriouruguay.com.
The case is investigating aggravated sexual abuse with penetration allegedly committed against a 7-year-old girl, the daughter of the accused man's partner. Following the complaint, the Public Prosecutor's Office of Federación requested that the local courts issue the arrest warrant, after it emerged that the suspect had allegedly abandoned the city following the incident.
With that information, staff from the Concordia station, under the command of deputy chief Guillermo Almirón, began locating procedures. The investigative work made it possible to identify and locate the man within Concordia.
Once detained, the corresponding procedural actions were carried out and the individual was placed at the disposal of the Federación courts and the police force in that city.
