At the end of May, an assault on a young woman occurred in the Seevorstadt district in Biel. The victim was on her way home in the evening when an unknown man pulled her towards him from behind and sexually harassed her. The affected person resisted and escaped her attacker.
Investigators were able to arrest the alleged perpetrator in early June. The court of compulsory measures is currently reviewing a remand request. The investigation is ongoing.
