A 29-year-old man was detained by the Bogotá Metropolitan Police following a suspected homicide that occurred in the San Vicente neighbourhood. The victim died from knife wounds after being taken to a medical centre.

In recent hours, officers from the Bogotá Metropolitan Police detained an individual aged 29 years old, who is allegedly responsible for a crime committed in the San Cristóbal district.
The incident took place in the San Vicente neighbourhood when the radio dispatch centre issued an alert about a fight on the street that had left a person with serious injuries. Agents who responded to the scene found a man lying on the public roadway with wounds that allegedly were inflicted with a sharp object.
Through the statement of a witness and examination of security camera footage from the surrounding area, the officers launched a cordoning operation that allowed them to locate and arrest one of the suspected perpetrators of the attack. The injured person was taken to a health facility, where he ultimately lost his life due to the severity of his wounds.
The detainee was handed over to the corresponding judicial authority to answer for the crime he is charged with.
