The suspected shooter managed to flee the scene and abandoned the weapon a short distance from the crime scene. Officers later found the pistol and maintain an active operation to locate and apprehend the fugitive.
Police sources consulted by Catalan media Diari de Catalunya — cited by RTE.ie — indicated that surveillance cameras in the area recorded images of the suspected shooter, which could facilitate his identification.
