Influencer Mounim Sabhi has been placed in police custody, suspected of violence and humiliation committed against homeless people he was housing in his manor in Loir-et-Cher, BFM TV reports.
In early 2025, Sabhi launched "La Team du Château", an operation in which he welcomes people without fixed abode to his manor situated near Blois. The idea: to film them daily and broadcast these images on social media, in the manner of a reality television programme.
The content, retransmitted almost continuously, depicts residents in situations of challenges, disputes and insults. These videos quickly attract a large audience, but also raise concerns among many observers regarding the conditions in which the housed people are being treated.
In the face of reports, an investigation is opened in April 2026. It results in the placement in police custody of the influencer, whose publications had nonetheless generated significant visibility on digital platforms.
The facts alleged against him concern acts of violence and humiliation against people in situations of vulnerability, welcomed under the guise of an initiative presented as solidarity-driven. The exact nature of the acts covered by the investigation has not been specified by the authorities at this stage.
