Four people have been remanded in custody following the dismantling of a cannabis and cocaine trafficking network on Rue Delalande in Libourne. Nine suspects were arrested on 18 May.

According to Google News FR — Crime (fr), the Libourne search and investigation brigade has dismantled a cannabis and cocaine trafficking network operating from a flat on Rue Delalande, in the town of Libourne. The investigation, opened by the prosecutor's office in January 2026, was entrusted to the search and investigation brigade after gendarmerie services had identified the existence of the trafficking within the residential building.
The investigations confirmed that a flat served both as a warehouse and a point of sale. Daily deliveries were being made to Libourne and in the surrounding municipalities. The network members were supplied daily from the Bordeaux conurbation, for an estimated monthly profit of between €4,000 and €6,000 per participant.
On 18 May, an operation involving 90 gendarmes from the Libourne company enabled the arrest of nine people, including two minors aged 17. On Thursday 21 May, four adults and two minors were referred to the prosecutor's office at the end of their police custody.
The two minors were placed under judicial supervision and will appear on 17 July before the juvenile court. Among the adults, one individual was also placed under judicial supervision. The three others were remanded in custody by the judge of liberties and detention, in accordance with the prosecutor's requests. They will be tried on 2 July 2026 before the criminal court under the procedure of deferred appearance.
In its statement, the prosecutor of the Republic praised the gendarmes of the operational cell for combating trafficking (COLT) in Libourne, "whose effectiveness enabled the dismantling of the trafficking and the rapid identification of those responsible."
