According to Google News FR — Crime (fr), the lifeless body of a woman was discovered on Sunday in a residential building in Sucy-en-Brie, in Val-de-Marne. The Créteil public prosecutor's office confirmed the opening of an investigation for voluntary homicide of an ascendant.
"Investigations are underway into these acts currently classified as voluntary homicide of an ascendant (…) An autopsy is notably scheduled in order to determine the circumstances of death," the prosecutor's office stated.
A man was arrested and placed in custody. The prosecutor's office specified that he is the victim's son, suggesting the hypothesis of a matricide. The age of the suspect, that of his brother and that of the deceased woman were not communicated.
The investigation has been entrusted to the judicial police.
