Three defendants face justice for cigarette and drug trafficking
Two men and a woman were tried on Friday 19 September at Chalon-sur-Saône court for cigarette and drug trafficking, according to lejsl.com. The two men had been in remand custody since 7 May, whilst the woman appeared at large.
The case began on 19 January in Gergy, where investigators placed the trio under surveillance. The facts had initially been observed at a bus stop: a man was waiting there when a vehicle occupied by the two other defendants briefly pulled up, just long enough for an exchange through the car window.
The cigarettes involved in the case came from Luxembourg. Various narcotics were also among the goods alleged against the three accused.
