According to Google News FR — Crime (fr), a 50-year-old man residing in Chanteloup-en-Brie (Seine-et-Marne) was arrested at his home on Monday 10 August 2026, following an investigation conducted by police officers from Chessy police station. The suspect, already known to police, had been active for several years in trafficking that covered both Seine-et-Marne and the capital.

Searches carried out at his home and at a second sales point in Paris resulted in the seizure of 1.4 kg of cannabis resin, 1.3 kg of cannabis herb and 17 cannabis plants. Packaging materials and "goodies" intended to retain his customers were also found on the premises.

In addition to his drug trafficking activity, the Chanteloup resident was marketing luxury leather goods as well as contraband products. "Approximately 20 bags, as well as cigarette cartridges and around 180 pairs of trainers were seized," a police source stated.

The Interministerial Research Group (GIR) proceeded to co-seize 55,000 euros from the suspect's bank account. French Customs imposed a fine of 4,500 euros on him for the cigarette cartridges found.

On the day of his arrest, the fifty-year-old's partner and stepson were also taken into custody. Both were convicted under a CRPC (guilty plea hearing) for having benefited from the trafficking to the tune of 90,000 euros.

The main suspect was notified of a CDD (deferred court appearance) scheduled for 7 October 2026. It is before the Meaux tribunal that he will then learn his sentence.
