On 19 August, gendarmes in Moûtiers spotted a Citroën DS3 in the town that was subject to an immobilisation order. According to Google News FR — Crime (fr), the driver, originally from Kosovo, was immediately subjected to a check: testing positive for cannabis and cocaine, he was carrying €1,280 in small denominations.
A search of his hotel room in Moûtiers, where he was residing, made it possible to confirm his involvement in a structured network. The man was distributing cocaine, amphetamines and cannabis on behalf of Albanian networks, in exchange for a monthly payment of €4,500.
The case was referred to the courts. Investigations are continuing into the connections with the Albanian supply chains servicing the region.
