Security forces apprehended a 39-year-old man on Avenida do Brasil in the Portuguese capital. The man is suspected of having attacked another person using a glass utensil.
According to Correio da Manhã, the arrest took place over the weekend. Officers succeeded in intercepting the alleged perpetrator following the episode of violence.
The detained man will remain in the custody of the Lisbon Metropolitan Command until Monday, when he is expected to be heard in court for the first time.
