A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Billy Watson, 35, shot dead at a property on Harestanes Road, Armadale, West Lothian, at around 11:50 on 12 September, bbc.co.uk reports.

Police Scotland confirmed the arrest on Tuesday, stating that inquiries remain ongoing.

Watson's family, in a statement released through Police Scotland, described him as "a deeply loved son, dad, brother, uncle and friend", adding: "We are all desperate to find out any information about this horrific incident."

Three men — Frank McCarthy, 57, Corrie McQueen, 29, and Martin Patterson, 44 — have already appeared before Livingston Sheriff Court charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice. All three made no plea and were remanded in custody.
