Rugby man receives prison sentence for cocaine supply

A 30-year-old man from Rugby has been jailed for three years and two months after police discovered more than 330 grams of cocaine at his home, hellorayo.co.uk reports.

Marius Islamaj, of Newbold Road, Rugby, appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Wednesday 16 September. Officers had initially spotted him taking part in a suspected drug deal in the town on 30 October 2025 and arrested him at the scene.

A search of his home subsequently uncovered the cocaine haul, estimated to be worth in excess of £30,000. Islamaj was charged and remanded in custody, later pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply a class A drug.

Detective Constable Matthew Rapkins, the investigating officer, commented following the sentencing: "Those who are involved in the supply of drugs ruin lives. They have no regard for the harm they cause, to vulnerable people and to our communities."

Rapkins added that police would "continue to relentlessly target and disrupt those who profit from exploitation."
