Santee Homicide on Grand Fork Drive: One Dead, Suspect in Custody

A man was fatally assaulted at a Santee residence Monday afternoon; a second man found injured at the scene was arrested and questioned.

Fatal assault on Grand Fork Drive leaves one dead in Santee

A man died following a violent assault at a residential address on the 10800 block of Grand Fork Drive in Santee on Monday afternoon, nbcsandiego.com reports.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the scene at around 2:10 p.m. after a man was found with traumatic injuries consistent with an assault using a deadly weapon. Paramedics treated him at the scene, but he was pronounced dead at approximately 2:30 p.m.

A second man found at the residence was also suffering from traumatic injuries and was taken to hospital with wounds described as non-life threatening. He was subsequently arrested and questioned by investigators.

The Sheriff's Office said the killing appears to be an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
