A 16-year-old has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Cashie Auguste in North York on Monday.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Cashie Auguste, cp24.com reports.
Auguste was shot at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Monday near a bus shelter at the intersection of Jane Street and Finch Avenue West in North York. He was pronounced dead in hospital shortly afterward.
Police confirmed the arrest on Thursday. The accused also faces a charge of failing to comply with a probation order. Under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, his identity cannot be released. He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
Investigators have not disclosed a possible motive for the shooting.
A vigil held earlier this week drew mourners who remembered Auguste as an "all-around good kid" who "lit up any room that he was in."
