Ottawa man arrested five days after Bank Street shooting

Ca.news.yahoo.com reports that a 33-year-old Ottawa man has been charged in connection with a shooting on Bank Street that left a man in his 20s with life-threatening injuries.

Amin Osman-Ali was arrested on Sept. 17 and charged with firearms-related offences and aggravated assault, according to the Ottawa Police Service. He appeared in court Thursday, police said.

Officers had found the victim on Bank Street near Heron Road on Sept. 12. Paramedics transported the young man to hospital with life-threatening injuries; as of Thursday, he remained in critical condition, police said.
