Escaped lifer Mason Jenkins sought after disappearing from Collins Bay Institution

Kingston Police are searching for Mason Jenkins, 49, who went missing from Collins Bay Institution on September 24. He is serving life for First Degree Murder.

Convicted killer unaccounted for at Kingston minimum-security unit

Kingston Police are actively searching for a missing inmate after he failed to appear during an 11:15 a.m. head count at Collins Bay Institution's minimum-security unit on September 24, 2026, according to kingstonpolice.ca.

Mason Jenkins, 49, is described as a white male, 5'9" and approximately 255 lbs, with a fair complexion, brown eyes and brown hair — currently shaved bald. He was last seen wearing a light green jacket, blue jeans and rubber boots.

Jenkins is serving a life sentence for First Degree Murder and possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Kingston Police at 613-549-4660, ext. 0. Members of the public who spot Jenkins are urged not to approach him and to call 9-1-1 immediately.
