Hamilton assault victim dies; police hunt suspect and federal offender
A man who suffered a serious head injury during an assault in Hamilton on May 31 died in hospital on July 30, Toronto Sun Crime reports. Hamilton Police released a photo of the suspect on Monday and are appealing for public assistance to locate him.
Officers responded at approximately 11:20 a.m. to reports of an assault in the Wentworth St. N.–Bristol St. area, where they found the victim with a serious head wound. He was transported to hospital, where he remained until his death two months later. Investigators subsequently determined the assault took place a block to the east, at Pinky Lewis Parkette.
The suspect is described as a Black male with a medium build, last seen wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts and a white bucket-style hat. Police believe he frequents a Tim Hortons at 505 Cannon St. E., just north of the park. Anyone with information is asked to contact Hamilton Police Det. Federal offender wanted on nationwide warrant
Ontario Provincial Police are also searching for a federal offender on a nationwide warrant for allegedly breaching the conditions of his statutory release. Bradley Elliott, 43, was serving a four-year, one-month sentence for offences including identity fraud with intent to obtain property, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, motor vehicle theft and assault with a weapon.
Elliott is described as 5-foot-9, 165 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has multiple tattoos: barbed wire and the word "HAWK" inside a heart on his right upper arm; a cross with the word "Mom" on his left arm; "Crystal" on his right forearm; "Bush" on his neck; "Jayden" with a date of birth on his left arm; "Nanette" on his left forearm; "ELLIOTT" with two pistols on his middle back; and a cross on his right arm.

Road rage in Pelham leaves 67-year-old with significant injuries
Two people are facing aggravated assault charges following a road rage incident in Pelham earlier this month that left a 67-year-old man with significant injuries, Niagara Regional Police said.
Officers were called to the Hwy. 20–Merrittville Hwy. area at approximately 11:25 p.m. on September 3 and found the injured man at the scene. An initial investigation indicated that a confrontation on Hwy. 406 between the victim and two occupants of another vehicle turned violent. The occupants of the other vehicle fled before police arrived.
Megan Williams, 30, of Welland, was arrested on Friday and charged with aggravated assault. Donald Messervey, 31, of St. Catharines, was arrested on Saturday and faces the same charge. Barrie stabbing suspect arrested after downtown attack on woman
Barrie Police have arrested a 41-year-old man in connection with a stabbing on Saturday night that injured a woman in the city's downtown area. Officers found the 54-year-old victim suffering from a stab wound on Maple Ave. She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was arrested on Sunday morning and charged with assault causing bodily harm. Police said the two appear to be acquaintances involved in a dispute. The investigation is ongoing.
