Victoria police seek tattooed fugitive Brett Harris, 49, on Canada-wide warrant

Brett Harris, 49, fled a Victoria halfway house on Sept. 13 without authorization. He is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for multiple offences including drug trafficking and weapons charges.

The Victoria Police Department is searching for Brett Harris, 49, who is wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant, goldstreamgazette.com reports. Harris walked away from a Victoria halfway house without authorization on the evening of Sunday, Sept. 13.

He is currently serving a three-year-eight-month sentence for a string of offences: possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order, three counts of fail to comply, taking a vehicle without consent, and operating a vehicle while prohibited.

Harris stands 5'11" and weighs approximately 195 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair and is heavily tattooed, with ink visible on his neck, his left cheek, and a full panther sleeve on his left arm.

Police are urging anyone who spots Harris to call 911 immediately and not to approach him.
