Two women arrested for illegal petrol transport in La Paz
The Bolivian Police apprehended two women found with petrol cans lacking valid documentation in Pampahasi Bajo. The case was referred to the Felcc for investigation.

According to correodelsur.com, the Bolivian Police detained two women in the Pampahasi Bajo area of La Paz after being caught loading petrol cans onto a minibus without the corresponding documentation.
Lieutenant Colonel Cristian Montaño, commander of the Integral Police Station (EPI) San Antonio, reported that the operation was carried out as part of controls against the hoarding, commercialisation and illegal transport of fuel in the city.
The suspects, aged 26 and 28, were observed placing two 20-litre cans of petrol each into the vehicle in the vicinity of Circunvalación avenue. When stopped, they presented a document that was found to authorise only the transport of diesel, not petrol.
Upon searching the minibus, officers found at least ten additional cans with petrol residue, which reinforced suspicions of possible contraband activity or irregular fuel hoarding.
One of those detained stated that the fuel was destined for the Hampaturi area, a version that the Police will need to verify in the course of the investigation.
The case was referred to the Special Force to Combat Crime (Felcc), which will continue investigations to establish possible links with third parties. Authorities indicated that the facts could fall under article 226 bis of the Criminal Code, relating to the hoarding, commercialisation and illegal transport of fuel.
The legal situation of both women will be determined by the Public Ministry in the coming hours, according to the official report.
