Six apprehended in night-time operations over deaths in San Ignacio de Velasco
The Special Force for the Fight Against Crime (Felcc) detained six men—five foreign nationals and one Bolivian—allegedly implicated in murders recorded in San Ignacio de Velasco, department of Santa Cruz, according to correodelsur.com.
The operations began from midnight on Thursday at various points in Santa Cruz. The national director of the Felcc, colonel Celin Salas, confirmed the results: "The results have been the apprehension of six male subjects, all of them linked to the facts of death, of murder, which have occurred in the locality of San Ignacio de Velasco".
During the raids, clues and evidence were collected that, according to the Felcc, would have a relation to the facts under investigation. Salas highlighted the joint work of different institutions in the area where the crimes occurred.
The police chief also noted that there is information that would link the detainees to two criminal organisations: the First Command of the Capital and the Red Command. Nevertheless, he specified that this aspect should be established in the course of the investigation.
