According to El Deber, six people were apprehended in San Ignacio de Velasco in connection with the double murder recorded on Monday, 14 September, when the two victims were conducting a live broadcast on social media.
State Attorney General Roger Mariaca Montenegro confirmed that five of those detained are Brazilian citizens and one is a Bolivian adolescent. "There are six people apprehended, five are Brazilian citizens and one Bolivian person who would have to be processed in accordance with law 548 as they are under 18 years old," Mariaca stated.
The minor will appear before juvenile criminal justice, in accordance with current regulations. The other five defendants will face the ordinary process.
The six apprehended individuals will be charged with the crimes of murder, criminal organisation and arms trafficking. Mariaca also indicated that he would request preventive detention in a public prison for all those involved.
The victims of the crime were a 17-year-old adolescent and a 24-year-old man, who were shot down despite not being the people the attackers were seeking to execute.
At the time of their capture, the six subjects were carrying firearms: shotguns, a 9-millimetre pistol, a box of ammunition and other weapons, all collected as evidence to be presented before the courts.
