An adult Chilean citizen died in the early hours of Tuesday after being shot inside an apartment block located on General Bonilla Avenue in the municipality of Pudahuel, Metropolitan Region, according to cnnchile.com.
The events occurred near midnight. The victim went down to the first floor of the building to allow three subjects entry, who subsequently went up to the second floor with him.
Before entering the apartment, an altercation occurred. In that context, the three individuals fired multiple shots at the man, who died at the scene.
The ECOH Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the victim sustained at least two gunshot wounds. "Due to circumstances that we are investigating, this altercation occurs in which the victim receives some gunshot impacts that cause his death at the scene and subsequently the subjects flee," said ECOH prosecutor Esteban Silva.
Following the crime, the three individuals involved escaped the area in a vehicle. The ECOH Prosecutor's Office, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Homicide Brigade of the PDI, is working on investigations to identify those responsible and establish the dynamics of the homicide.
