Police seek e-scooter rider who hit boy in Tallinn and left the scene
A traffic incident occurred on A. H. Tammsaare Road in Tallinn on 26 May at 14.41, in which a man riding an electronic personal vehicle collided with a small child. The victim was only nine years old.
As a result of the collision, the child fell. Instead of coming to his aid, the unknown man verbally attacked the victim and then quickly left the scene. The boy was able to call an ambulance himself. Doctors took him to hospital for examination, but fortunately he suffered only minor injuries.
The police emphasise that in the event of any traffic accident, the party involved must remain at the scene and ensure that the victim receives necessary assistance. It is particularly reprehensible to abandon a small child after also verbally attacking him.
The incident, which took place on Kesktänavla, is being investigated by law enforcement. Anyone who witnessed what happened or can identify the perpetrator can provide information by telephone on 612 5693 or by email at [email protected]. Any person who recognises themselves is also asked to contact the authorities.
